Yesterday, I got into a fight and the busted my windshield and my bumper is dented. My car insurance policy expired 2 days ago in Babylon, New York. If I purchase car insurance now, will it cover the vehicle?

I am sorry to hear that. If you are going to reinstate your old car insurance policy in Babylon, New York or get a new car insurance policy you would have to inform the car insurance company about this damage that was already sustained.

Some insurance carrier will not cover a car for collision coverage that has pre-existing damage. Because of this you will likely want to have the damages repaired before trying to get physical damage coverage on the car.

Since you did not have car insurance on your automobile to cover the damages to your car, I suggest that you get legal advice and see if you can take the individuals responsible to court. It would be helpful as well if you can get estimates of what the vehicle will cost to be repaired and take pictures of the various glass breakage, dents, etc and show it to court.
